Do you agree with Trump’s assertion that only 11% of the infrastructure bill is “true” infrastructure, and the rest is “green new deal”?

Here is his statement:

For reference, the bill is $1.2 billion, which includes:

  1. $110 billion for roads/bridges
  2. $40 billion for public transport
  3. $66 billion for Amtrak
  4. $65 billion for broadband
  5. $108 billion for the power grid
  6. $8 billion for electric buses and ferries
  7. $55 billion to remove all lead water pipes
  8. $25 billion for airports
  9. $11 billion for road safety
  10. In addition to the $550 billion in new investments, the package also includes roughly $650 billion in previously authorized funding for roads and other infrastructure, including nearly $300 billion for the Highway Trust Fund and $90 billion for public transit over the next five years.

Based on these numbers, the vast majority of the $1 trillion is for infrastructure – why do you think Trump is claiming only 11% and the rest as “green new deal”? Do you think he lacks a fundamental understanding of the bill
