What are your thoughts on Brittany Joyce Smith case, where she plead guilty to shooting her rapist?

With all the discussion on the Kyle Rittenhouse, I wanted to ask TS what they thought of the Brittany Joyce Smith case? A women who was raped and beaten by a man and had tried to get away by passing a note to a convenience store clerk. Later when her brother came to her rescue and got into a confrontation with the rapist Brittany shot him. The judge rejected her stand your ground defense and she ended up pleading to a reduced sentence.
