– In summary, some felons in Florida who served their sentences thought their voting rights had been restored, so they applied for a ballot. They recieved a ballot and documentation saying that they could vote, so they voted. Later, it was found that by state law they couldn’t have, and so they were charged with voter fraud.
– In Florida it appears ex-felons who completed their sentences can get their voting rights restored, except for those who commited murder or a felony sex offense. It appears these people fell into that second category.
What are your thoughts?
What should happen to these people?
